Microsoft Word Header/Footer Help?

Everytime I open Microsoft Word, I have to go to view header/footer, put my name, indent all the way to the other side and put the date. Is there a way to make it so that everytime I go onto Word my name and date are just there by default/automatically? ThxAbunch.

Open Word. Then use the FILE menu and pick NEW. Look for the radio button that says DOCUMENT, and click on the one next to it that says TEMPLATE. Use Save As and save this file with a new name like ''myStuff.dot'' Do not overwrite Normal.dot.

Customize myStuff.dot all you want. Then when you open a new document through the menu, you will see myStuff.dot in the list of new document templates.

If you DO save your personal template as normal.dot, be sure that others know that you are using a non standard template.

Good luck

After making the header and the footer, go to

file

save as

then choose the format

Document template

it would save it as template , next time you only have to click on the template file and it is ready .
Create your own blank document.
