Microsoft Office faxing?

How do I use Microsoft Office to fax and what do I need before I start? Does my telephone have to be connected to my computer? I have never faxed anything before so I'm inexperienced in the process. Thanks in advance.

you need a phone (two lines works better)and you need to attatch on end of a phone jack to the line 2 jack, and the other into the phone jack in the printer. i assume you mean microsoft word, go to print, and there should be a dropdown menu where it says the name of your printer, and it should be another one of the same name, with the word fax after it. this is how it is with my computer, and i know it sounds a bit confusing. also, if you only have one line, you could probobly get a signal splitter type thing with phone jacks at radioshack, and that should work

Usually just hook your phone line up to your modem and print your completed document using file, print (not the printer icon) and then change your printer to fax or symantic fax and complete the dialog.
