Microsoft Access question with PivotTables?

I am learning Microsoft Access with a text book and it gives me a list of files to work wth. It tells you to open a table, add, delete files, sort and filter but then it tells you this ''Pull down the View menu and select the PivotTable view to display an empty pivot table. There is nothing on my view or any other buttons to show pivot table on it. I have clicked more, and also customize with no luck, please help.

PivotTable view is only available when it makes sense to ask for it. Open a table so that you are looking at the records, then click View in the menu. If you don't see PivotTable view, click the double downward arrow heads at the bottom of the drop-down list. PivotTable view should show up.
