I know Works Suite comes with wordpad, works but i dont know what office comes with. I need basically need school stuff - typing, spreadsheets, hopefully powerpoint, and all those other programs to make calenders, etc.

They main difference is price Works is a lot cheaper and doesn't have all the features of Office. It can basically does what Office does but with fewer bells and whistles. They Both have a word processor, capability to make spread sheets, but Works does not have Powerpoint only a viewer.
Another Alternative would be OpenOffice 2.2 it is FREE and had all the compatibility of MS Office.
