Microsoft clipart and copyright laws?

I am working on a brochure for the company i work for and would like to use pictures from the microsoft clipart web-site, the pictures do not relate to what we sell so will not have any effect on the amount of sales we receive it is simply to help brighten up the brochure, will we be breaking any copyright laws in adding the pictures to the brochures?

Your company would need to have a licence to legally use Microsoft's clipart regardless of what you sell - as the company I work for does too.

Cliparts not difficult to make, its probable that a staff member already does similar stuff at home for a hobby. Its always better to use your own graphics. Clipart tends to be widely recognised and its seen as cheesy.

Pick the stuff you think is appropriate and see if any staff members can do something suitable, or pay a graphic designer.
Have you looked at the terms and conditions of use, on the Microsoft Clipart site ??
