Does anyone know of any techniques concerning Microsoft Word template management? I share templates with other staff. The styles from templates get mixed in causing the template to change.
Any ideas or referrals to template tools are most welcome.

Is it possible you're doing the wrong thing? If you set up the templates as Word *.dot files, when you double-click on a template you'll get a new file containing what amounts to a copy of the template. Because it's a copy, there's no possibility that the original template will be affected.
When you DO want to change the *.dot template, right-click and select Open to open the template itself for editing.

Under ''tools'' and ''options'' and ''file locations'' you'll find a ''Workgroup Templates'' selection. This is usually blank. Put in a shared file location that all users can reach. Then put your templates there. You can use directories in this location to help sort the templates.
