I need help to tell microsoft project that while I am building my project there can be no work done between December 1st and April 1st. How would I go about doing that?

Two options include :
a) Tools -%26gt; Change Working Time. Change the project calendar to set all the appropriate days as non-working days.
or
b) Assign resources to the tasks in question, and set all the appropriate resources calendars to include the non-working time.
