Microsoft Update error?

My automatic updates and microsoft updates have been giving errors in installing an important security update for IE7, update : KB942615

The same update is shown to be installed already on 12/12/2007 in add/remove programs, but update service wants to install it a second time, my update log is filed with these errors since the last 3 days, what could be the problem ? All other updates are installing fine.

(ive found many threads filled with people having same problems in the last 3 days, but nobody's got a solution yet)

Install and run the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer v2.0.1 (for IT Professionals).

Then if there is something wrong in the Security Update Scan Results you can click on How to correct this to the right.

You have to be running genuine Microsoft Windows to download and run this.

g to add remove programs in your control panel, select IE and then selct remove......now you will be given some choices...select repair then ok

U can also contact microsoft customer service and they will help you out.
You need to do a system restore BEFORE that update downloaded. Then allow it to download again. I had the same problem and that fixed it first time through.
