Microsoft Office v Open Office compatibilty?

If I have Open Office on My Mac 10.4, will I be able to transfer documents from a PC Microsoft Office to Mac using Openoffice

Yes of course you will... You just need to remember to save the documents in Microsoft office formats as both packages can read MS office documents, but microsoft office is unable to read openoffice files.

Basically, as long as the docs are in the ms office formats (word *.doc, excel *.xls, powerpoint *.ppt etc) then its fine :)
